IN A HURRY
Culture determinates a society. Urban lifestyle allows its inhabitants to create a set pattern, which can allow them to identify each other. New Yorkers are always so rushed. Since I came to this city I have tried to understand the impatience of the people, how quickly they are walking, how time is so crucial for them; however, I have to be honest I’ve become one of them.
Therefore, I decided to show through a photographic series the most relevant forms and expressions of those who traverse the city of New York, specifically in Manhattan. Their lifestyle so hasty, having a quick lunch, going home in the subway struggling with many people or just avoiding areas where there are more tourists but it’s always in a hurry. I believe that my photographs speak, not only for what I see, but also for a culture where the time it is the most important value that they have.
